Salim Bitar joined Aujan Group Holding in 2011 and is currently CEO of its Hospitality and Real Estate arm. They own properties in the Middle East and Africa under Antanara, Avari, Radisson Blue & Oberoi brands. Previously, Bitar spent 21 years in the telecom sector working for Motorola where he held senior finance and operational roles in the United States, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Subsequently, in 2008, he joined Dubai Holding where he held chief executive roles leading the F&B business and later the restructuring and delivery of a US$2 Billion residential project in Dubai.
Since joining Aujan, Bitar has led the expansion and transformation of the Group’s hospitality business, including the conclusion of three equity joint ventures with Minor International. He also leads the Group’s real estate portfolio with ongoing project developments in East Africa, and its aviation and mining interests in the region.
Bitar holds a Master’s degree in International Business from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor’s degree in International Finance from the University of South Florida. Given his passion for conservation, Bitar is committed to highlighting the Group’s efforts in this area over the last two-decades and to intensifying the business’s focus on sustainable development and preservation of the environment.
